- Soteria Guest House: Funded by a generous sponsor in 2014, Soteria Guest House offers 64 accommodation rooms in single, double, en suite, and executive classes. Serving as a versatile venue, the guest house facilitates effective training and conferences for both SPILL and external clients. A major revenue source for SPUEU, it complements the catering services provided by the business unit.
- Abigail Restaurant: Abigail Restaurant, the catering arm of the enterprise unit, boasts a capacity to host 150 people in one sitting. Open to both internal and external markets, the restaurant supports the university’s operations by providing staff tea and meals as requested by various departments.
- Laundry Services: Complementing the guest house, the Laundry Services section handles all hotel linen cleaning and is open to walk-in customers from staff and the local community. Equipped with a commercial dryer, the laundry ensures efficient and timely dry cleaning services.
- Ngecha Farm: As a strategic agri-business line, Ngecha Farm produces vegetables and fruits for internal and external markets. Supplying the Abigail restaurant with a variety of fresh produce, the farm features greenhouse crops like tomatoes and capsicum, along with open-field crops such as cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes, and more.
- Documentation Centre: Located at the SPUEU building, the Documentation Centre offers photocopying and printing services to both staff and students. Additionally, the center handles the preparation of all university departmental documents.
- Hiring of University Facilities: SPUEU manages the hiring of university facilities, including the Amphitheatre, halls, and fields. Available for individual and corporate events, these facilities contribute significantly to the enterprise unit’s revenue stream.
- Gym Services: Enjoy fitness at its best with SPUEU’s gym services at the Students Centre. Equipped with additional gym equipment to meet growing demand, our enthusiastic trainers provide customized gym training sessions at affordable prices.
